Can I attend if I’m not a senior?
Yes. We welcome anyone who has interest in assisting or advising a senior or if you are just planning ahead.
How long does each seminar last?
The panelist discussions last about 60 minutes. Some run longer than others depending on the depth of the topic and the number of panelists. The remaining time is opened up to the audience to ask questions directly to the panelists. We begin at 10:00 a.m.and end at 11:30 a.m.
Will there be a sales pitch?
There will be no sales pitch. You will get have the opportunity to meet the presenters and hosts and decide for yourself if it makes sense to request a consultation. Presenters and guest speakers will have materials available for you to take home on the back or side tables, should you want to take them.
I have questions but cannot attend the seminar?
Please feel free to contact us concerning questions you may have about downsizing, senior living options, 55+ neighborhoods, or other related topics. If our staff is unable to answer your questions, we will direct you to one of our many subject matter experts who will be happy to assist you.
Can I ask questions at the event?
Yes, we have reserved the last portion of the event for you to have the opportunity to ask questions. We request that if you have a specific question that is personal in nature, meaning that it can’t be answered in a general way, that you request a consultation with one of our team members following the event.
Can business professionals attend?
We always welcome service providers and business owners seeking to learn more about serving mature homeowners. If you attend WITH a registered client, there is no fee for you to attend. The fee for business owners and aging services professionals not attending with a client is $25 payable at the door. Due to limited seating, we reserve the right to provide priority seating to non-professionals.
Can I suggest topics for future seminars?
Yes certainly! We want to make Sea Coast Seniors Empowerment Series as meaningful and relevant as possible, so we welcome your suggestions and ideas. Of course, we prepare the topics for the series well in advance, so please be patient concerning time frames for your suggested topic to hit the calendar.
Why is there no charge for the event?
The hosts, moderators, sponsors and those serving as panelists have strong convictions about ensuring that people are educated, empowered, and equipped as they prepare for late-life issues, especially where and how they will live. They have donated their time and contributed toward event expenses so that ALL seniors are able to attend regardless of their financial situation.
How can I become a sponsor?
Annual sponsorships are from January to December each year. The deadline for application is November 1st of the preceding year. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please call (805) 710-2415 to request a sponsorship packet or be placed on the waiting list for sponsorships as spaces are limited. Every sponsor must be fully vetted prior to being considered so please provide references and licensing information (if applicable) to expedite your application.
Who is Sea Coast Seniors?
Nancy Puder is the founder of Sea Coast Seniors and the host of the Senior Empowerment Series. Widely recognized as a professional in her field, Nancy is an experienced real estate professional who began her career forty years ago. Since then she has helped hundreds of families and older adults realize their dreams and accomplish their goals. Nancy is certified as a senior housing professional and is passionate about helping older adults and their family members with the complex issues that accompany a late in life move.
